Born in Queens, New York and raised mostly on Staten Island, Jimmie Mack picked up guitar at 13 years old. Jimmie played locally with bands such as Cold North, and Mack Truck until the mid-70's.
His debut album, Jimmie Mack, was released on Big Tree Records in 1978. The followup release was On The Corner, released in 1979. These caught the attention of RCA Records which released Jimmie Mack & the Jumpers.
Later, Jimmie recorded with the Earl Slick band for Capital Records.
